I want to start out by saying how completely perplexed our entire organization is by this review. Marina had a healthy baby girl in October of last year, and we have not heard from her since. We later found out the day she wrote this review was the day her previous surrogate told her she didn’t want to do a sibling journey with her, which caused her to become VERY angry. Marina is in breach of the non-circumvention clause of her agreement with us by attempting to solicit, induce, and influence her previous surrogate without Eggceptional Fertility’s knowledge. However, when the surrogate told her she no longer wanted to work with her, she ASSUMED we were somehow derailing her plans. Then without asking the surrogate or us, she took to the keyboard and wrote this nasty review. We had absolutely no idea any of this was going on and the surrogate is not working with us for another journey, as Mrs. Bekker states in her review… It is also untrue that we don’t do background checks on our surrogates and their partners. In addition, both our agency and HER clinic would never have allowed a match to get so far as traveling across the country if the surrogate was on severe antidepressants. We have no idea what she is talking about regarding being passed around. Jennifer is typically the first person you speak with because she owns the company. Marina was then assigned to her coordinator Tiffani. The only time Tiffani and Jennifer were not available to Marina was when we were in Hawaii at the invitation and request of Intended Parents that were getting married and wanted our presence during their special time. Eggceptional Fertility was paid upon the first match because her surrogate was medically cleared, completed legal, and even started fertility medication. Unfortunately, her uterine lining would not thicken to the degree it was needed, and we had to rematch her. We continued to work with her at no additional cost until she had a baby. I again have no idea what she is talking about regarding antidepressants. The second surrogate started having fainting spells AFTER her records had been approved and had no prior history of this problem. The surrogate later found out she was experiencing low iron, but by then we already found Marina a new candidate. This new surrogate is whom she had the healthy baby girl with. She mentions all our reviews are from egg donors and surrogates. However, the one 5 days prior to her review is from an Intended Parent and another Intended Parent 8 reviews below hers…. The only thing we give attorneys is a copy of the compensation package, so I have no idea what could have caused her attorney to have a hard time drafting an agreement other than her client. We have been in business since March of 2008, which is more than enough testament to our training in how to run a successful agency. Unfortunately, if you’re in business for any length of time, you’re going to meet up with a bad actor every now and then and Marina just so happens to be one of them.
