12.8.26 We are very sorry to hear about your experience and thank you for bringing these serious concerns to our attention. We take sample integrity, accurate reporting and respectful patient communication extremely seriously and apologise for the distress this has caused. Your case has been escalated to senior management and our laboratory quality team so they can review the tracking records, chain‑of‑custody timestamps and staff interactions. We will complete an independent review and provide a written outcome within 10 working days; where an error is identified we will offer an appropriate remedy such as a retest or refund. Because you have opened a dispute, that will be included in the review and our complaints team will contact you to confirm the outcome. 13.8.26 Thank you for sharing your concerns. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet the standard we aim to provide. IVF Matters uses a 3rd party laboratory called The Doctors Laboratory (TDL) to process all its samples. TDL is the largest independent provider of clinical laboratory services in the UK, with its flagship London laboratory being one of the largest pathology laboratories in Europe. TDL is responsible for the direct handling, processing and analysis of samples submitted for testing. As such, we sought confirmation directly from the laboratory regarding the sample receipt, processing and associated timescales, to ensure that the information provided to you was accurate and reflected the laboratory's records. We also offered your partner the opportunity to speak to our laboratory team directly for clarification which he declined. We take all patient concerns seriously and make every effort to investigate and resolve matters as quickly and thoroughly as possible. This matter has received our full attention and has been reviewed in-house. We have made extensive efforts to resolve the matter, including at least nine messages, six emails and three telephone calls, in addition to ongoing correspondence with the laboratory. Our director Dr Koita also spoke to you on the very day you raised a concern and reassured you that she would ensure your results are accurate and if not, a free retest would be ordered. She also discussed your treatment plan as this information is critical to the interpretation and management of the lab result. We have confirmed the timeline directly with the patient and have been advised by the laboratory that the sample handling and processing were in line with the criteria for the test. We understand how important it is for patients to have confidence in their results. While we cannot discuss individual clinical details publicly, we can assure you that your concerns have been carefully considered and that we have made considerable efforts to investigate and address them. We would also like to clarify that our fees may be higher than those offered by some other providers because our service includes a review call with our consultant as part of the fee. This is not charged as an additional service. We believe this provides patients with the opportunity to discuss their results and receive appropriate guidance directly from a consultant without incurring a separate consultation charge. We remain committed to providing a professional, transparent and patient-focused service, and we wish you all the best with your ongoing care.
